Our town's English-speaking community is quite large, and we can offer guided visits that would be most suited to your group's specific needs.
Located on Route 55, a major East-West thoroughfare, Karnei Shomron is a convenient place to include in any itinerary. We have a very lovely mall for gift shopping; equipped with clean and plentiful rest facilities and local restaurants that are an excellent choice for a delicious lunch or dinner.
Along with the rest of Israel, our community unfortunately has suffered much grief during the ongoing war of terror that began in September 2000. A mother of five children was killed in 2001, and in February 2002, a suicide bomber penetrated the community, murdering three teenagers. Yet this has not dented the resolve of our community, or that of the surviving family members. If you would like to hear about their particular experiences and about measures that are being taken to increase the security of our town's residents, this can be arranged as well. A community-wide website, http://GINAPLUS.ORG, and e-mail list is operated in both Hebrew and English, by and for local residents. GINAPLUS is where the latest community news, announcements and synagogue and cultural events, classified ads, and personal news are posted. The website is maintained by a local resident and subscription is free. As a GINAPLUS subscriber, you will always be up-to-date, and you will enjoy lively discussions on current events, local politics, regular Divrei Torah from our local Rabbis and of course, the latest news about your friends and relatives in Karnei Shomron.
